Brutal Sports Football, as you can tell by the title, is not a "real" football game. Actually it's part football, part soccer, and part fighting. Anything goes in this game: Punching, stomping, weapons, and even decapitations. The object is to score more goals than your opponent before time runs out or to decapitate six of your opponent's seven players. Once you kill off the opponent, you automatically win regardless of the score. The graphics are sharp and colorful, but the low frame rate really hurts. The sound is decent but certainly not spectacular; the music gets repetitive. The control isn't the greatest, you will find yourself pounding on the buttons repeatedly to get in an extra punch or stomp. But it gets the job done. Brutal Sports Football may not be the best one-player game around, but the two-player mode is where this game really shines. Nothing quite beats the thrill of decapitating your friend after he just scored a goal. If you can't beat 'em, kill 'em.
