Kasumi Ninja was the first fighting game for the Jaguar, and it's probably the worst one too. Kasumi Ninja can be summed up by the popular phrase "all graphics, no gameplay." The graphics are sharp, colorful, and look very good for the most part. The sound, however, is not nearly as good. The music is fairly dull, the sound effects are just average, and the announcer has a very nasal-sounding voice. The control isn't very sharp, and the game seems slow compared to other fighting games. Even the instruction manual is inadequate. None of the special moves are described in the manual, only standard non-character specific moves. Jaguar fans looking for a good fighting game should pass on Kasumi Ninja and buy Ultra Vortek instead.
