After Kasumi Ninja turned out to be a disappointment, Jaguar owners wanted a good fighting game. Ultra Vortek is it. It's similar to most other fighting games out there, one on one fighting with special moves which require a series of directional and button presses. There are seven playable characters and eight backgrounds (plus two hidden ones) to choose from. The graphics are very colorful and detailed, but the animation isn't quite as smooth as it could be. The music and sound effects are very good, and the announcer's voice is very cool. The control is also very good. However, I recommend using the turbo code (press 1+5+9 at the "eye" screen). Without it, the game is somewhat slow. Ultra Vortek is a very good all-around game which is very fun to play. It's the best fighting game on Jaguar.
